Mercedes Core , DVM

Dr. Mercedes Core was born in Yorkshire, Ohio. She moved to Arizona at the age of 6 and attended
Mesa Public Schools. She started working in veterinary hospitals in 1997, and soon started to pursue a degree in veterinary medicine. She received a bachelors degree in zoology from ASU in 2000, and wenton to veterinary school at Ross University on Saint Kitts (located in the West Indies) in 2003. Her last year was spent at Oklahoma University for clinical rotations. She then returned to Arizona in 2007 and
began working as a veterinarian in Chandler. She came to Companion Pet Clinic in 2009. 

Dr. Core enjoys her time at home in Gilbert with her boyfriend Diego, 3 dogs and 6 cats (most of whom have been adopted from hospitals she has worked at). She enjoys working with all animals, especially cats, and feels especially bonded to her feline patients.
